Mary's Birthday and the Fair

So, miss Mary turned four last week. She had a princess themed birthday party, a dress up party. Here are the three older cousins all dressed up. Quinn was really excited to be a pirate king so I'm not sure what was going on in this picture, but here it is.
King Quinn. The mighty pirate argh.

Mary's cake.

The balloons kept migrating into the pool, so, eventually we just left them there.
Relaxing after a hard day overseeing the festivities.

Maki as a princess.

Mary princess.

Now for the fair.

Quinn smiled and squealed the whole time. Auntie Karra and Uncle Jeffry came with us.

Quinn had a close encounter with donkeys, llamas, goats, and zebra ponies. I should have gotten a picture, but I didn't. It looked like a pony with zebra strips on the lower part of its torso.

Quinn rode in style all day. Strollers, we don't need no stinkin strollers.

All of us on the Ferris wheel.

He actually really liked looking over the edge and down. Must get that from Dan.

We meet up with Auntie Kristin, Uncle Joe, cousin Mary, and baby Joey and the kids went on some rides together.

Oh the joy. You have to love things that make your kids smile like this.

Of course there were helicopter rides.

The Junior High was doing a face painting fundraiser. Unfortunately, he picked an animal no one there knew how to draw. Luckily Uncle Joe was around to save the day. Thanks uncle Joe.

Get ready.

Set.

It's a shark. Here's Dan getting ready to go on his big boy ride.
All strapped in and ready to go.
It was really hard to get a good picture. But here he is fourth from the left, hanging on for dear life.
He actually said it was a bit crazier than he expected it would be. But of course he loved it.

Watching the horse pulls. Quinn really likes them.

Speaking of horses. Here are the kids on the carousel.

and more kids.

Daddy took a turn on the helicopter.
We even bumped into Auntie Mehlina and cousin Mila.

There were some games to be played.

Unfortunately, none of us won.

Oh well, what can you do. It was a great day.

It sure knocked Quinn out.
