Robin too!!!!

We also got to visit Robin and Katie while we were here, I have to get up at 4a though so I will update more about that tomorrow but I thought you would all enjoy the photos.

The lily visit

I love it when kids from other blogs appear together. Here are Quinn and Lily visiting for the first time in a year and a half.
They were very very serious about their snacking.
Here they are all set to do lunch.

He's thinking ok, give me just one second I'm a bit winded.

So sweet, holding hands.

And a little dance.

I thought this was too cute.

The Zoo

I completely forgot to put up pictures of Caroline's little boy. Here is Zane on his first swing ride. I don't think he really enjoyed it, do you?????

I also forgot to put up the video of him in a bubble at the children's museum.

OK, on to the zoo.
This is what he did the first 10-15min.

Here's Quinn looking at the Toucan.

It was such a nice day we stripped down to a tee shirt.
I think we were looking at the wart hogs here.
And the elephants of course.
Cool kitty.

1, 2, 3 Blast off ....... Nope not yet!!!

So Quinn and I are currently in N.C. on my spring break. The day before we left I told Quinn we are going to go on a plane tomorrow to see grandpa. Quinn was very excited about both, his first plane trip and his trip to see grandpa.

He actually did really really well on the plane. We boarded the plane and got all buckled in and he enjoyed it for about five minutes, looking out the window, looking at the other passengers ...... and then boredom set it. So I told him we were going to fly into the sky soon. Well that did it.

He said, like a rocket ship!?!?!?!? Then he said 1 2 3 blast off and I said nope not yet, we have to move backwards first and then forward a little, stop and then take off. So he waited and pretty soon we went backwards, then we went forward and we stopped. Then he said 1 2 3 blast off, nope not yet. 1 2 3 blast off, nope not yet. So I pretended to be the plane talking to traffic control until I heard the engines rev. Together we said 1 2 3 blast off and the plane took off. He loved it.

After all of the excitement and waking up at 4:30am the boy drifted off, for all of 20min. But it's so cute isn't it.

Grandpa was there to meet us at the airport and we followed him back to his house ....

were cousin Mila was waiting, oh and Grandma and Auntie Melihna.
Mila is just to cute for words and Quinn is so good with her.
She hits him and pulls his hair and he doesn't even flinch.
Mila started crawling the night we arrived. I told Melihna it was all because Quinn showed her how :)
We went to a children's museum and there was fun to be had by all.

Monday we headed down to NC to visit with my roommate from college Caroline.
We spent today at the park and tomorrow we're on to the zoo. So look for more pictures on Friday.
We love you honey and we miss you. See you soon.

Photo update!

So I have a month of cell phone pictures to update this blog with. Pretty lame way to update such a nice blog, once in an entire month, but here is what he's been up to.

Quinn is a happy and active little man. He has been helping me enjoy the good helping of snow dumped on us this year. Without him, winter is just a bunch of extra work and more wear on vehicles.

I have a buddy at work who races go carts, and Quinn got to see the race on a warm and sunny march day.

I took him to see a submarine museum, and he found that pretty amusing.

Once we got onto the actual submarine and went below decks, he was amused for about five minutes. And then started asking to go outside again. I remember thinking the same thing on my first underway during my time on subs

Next to our house there is a nice abandoned rock quarry I've been meaning to see. Quinn and I had our first nature walk. A nice father son day.

Times are good and Quinn is growing fast. If he didn't keep me so busy, I'd probably write in this blog all the time. My father in law recently mentioned that I should write more, referring to the way I updated during Quinns hospital days. Well, I have plenty of excuses as to why I don't write much anymore, but none of it involves a lack of inspiration from Quinn. He has been a gift that keeps on giving, and I find it a profound privilege and purpose to be his father. But at the end of the day, balancing work and play with an energetic toddler dictates how I spend my time. Hope everyone is well.
